Frequently Asked Questions
Is Agent Zero really free?
▼
Yes. Agent Zero is open-source software (MIT license) created by agent0ai. You can download, run, and use it completely free. We charge for setup help only — not the software itself.
What exactly does the Pro Setup include?
▼
Jay will connect to your computer via AnyDesk (free remote desktop software) and: install Docker if needed, pull the Agent Zero image, run the container, configure your API keys in the settings, mount a volume for persistent data, and walk you through your first task. The whole session is usually 30–60 minutes.
Is it safe to let Jay access my computer?
▼
You control AnyDesk at all times — you can end the session instantly by closing the app. You watch everything Jay does on your screen in real-time. Jay only installs Docker and Agent Zero — nothing else. You can revoke access at any moment.
What OS does Agent Zero support?
▼
Agent Zero runs on any OS that supports Docker: Windows 10/11, macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon), and Linux (Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, etc.). The Pro Setup service is available for all three.
Do I need a powerful computer?
▼
Agent Zero itself is lightweight — it's just a Docker container. The AI processing happens on the API provider's servers (OpenRouter, OpenAI, etc.), not your machine. A modern laptop with 8GB RAM is sufficient. If you use Ollama for local models, you'll need more RAM and ideally a GPU.
Do I need to pay for API access separately?
▼
Yes — Agent Zero connects to external AI APIs which have their own pricing. OpenRouter has a generous free tier with many models. OpenAI, Anthropic, and Gemini charge per token. Ollama is completely free (local models). The Pro Setup fee does not include API costs.
Can I get a refund if the setup doesn't work?
▼
If Jay can't get Agent Zero running on your machine for any reason (incompatible hardware, OS restriction, etc.), you'll receive a full refund. Contact Jay at leprograms@protonmail.com or 743-337-9506.
